Faithbooking (1)

This weekend I started the daunting task of trying to put wedding pictures into an album. This is probably my first experience dashing headlong into faithbooking. I mean I really am trying to make a concentrated effort. As I look through the almost 200 pictures of that wonderful day, I am reminded of all the wonderful spiritual implications of a marriage. Perfectionism kicks in; I feel my breath quicken. That nasty little voice of Satan comes inside my head telling me I’m not good enough to record what God has done.
This happens to me a lot when I try to faithbook, so I settle for pat answers and quick phrases that seem to fit without actually seeking guidance from God. As I write that, I have to say the first step is praying and asking the Holy Spirit for guidance. He is our guide here on earth. The Holy Spirit is a living entity whose job is to show us what Christ has done and is doing. He is showing us the difference that God makes in what is going on around us. The Holy Spirit is also our guide to show us Christ’s character and help us become more Christlike.
I’m going to dare to say it. Faithbooking is a calling and an act of worship. In every calling, God plans to equip His workers. We are not going at this alone. We have a Helper who knows exactly what He is doing. When you are feeling insufficient to be the spiritual recordkeeper, remember that God chooses the lowly and the weak so that He will recieve the Glory.
God Bless all yall
