Resolve
My lymph nodes have been swollen and sore ever since the weekend of car show (Feb 26-27). Monday I planned on going to the doctor, but things seemed less swollen so I decided to hold off and try to get bettere on my own. Well, on Thursday, my throat was fiery red and very angry at me. So I went to see the nurse. SHE seemed very concerned that I had been fighting this for two weeks. I have been very fatigued–the first week I couldn’t make it through one class period without being exhausted at the end. I finally had developed a sore throat. Did I mention my lymph nodes are swollen not only in my neck but also in my shoulders, armpits, and elbows. I’m sure there are others that I just don’t know about.
I went to the doctor, I had Dr Kevin Kusch at the clinic across from LU. The nurse at the clinic took my weight and blood pressure. She stuck an ear thermometer down my ear. The doctor came in shined a flashlight down my throat listened to my lungs. He didn’t think there was anything wrong with my lungs thought it was all upper respiratory stuff. since my primary concern was the swollen lymph nodes all over my body–which the doctor didn’t even bother to check out–and a sore throat, he prescribed me an antibiotic and an expectorant/decongestant!
The antibiotic makes sense, but I have no coughing and no congestion. The man just wasted my money on prescription medicine that I don’t need. This is as bad as the doctor who prescribed my mom Allegra when she got the flu
