Snowed in

As I hold my baby and try to type one-one handed, I am even more anxious for my new headphones to arrive.  Then I can start really composing my posts with Dragon Naturally Speaking!

In the mean time, I am completely snowed in!  The snow glacier on the front roof decided to become an iceberg in our front yard.  I’m waiting for B to get home to move the iceberg from in front of the screen door.  I guess I could get my snowshoes from the front porch and go out the backdoor if needed.  Doesn’t sound like a big challenge, unless you have ever tried to put on snowshoes while holding or wearing a baby.

The good news about having 3 1/2 feet of snow on the ground is that shoveling off the shed roof is pretty easy (you can shovel from the ground…er top of the snow.

We have a kitty cat that has taken up residence in our garage.  The bottom panel of the garage door (it’s an old fashioned 5 panel door) was broken out when we bought the house.  Brenton keeps talking about closing off the hole, but I can’t bear the thought of locking a kitty out of its house in the middle of the freezing cold winter–or worse, locking a kitty in our garage!
