Carnival of Christian Women - December 1, 2007
The Christmas season is upon us, and I am filled with joy. Right now, I have my Christmas tree up, and the lights are winking and blinking at me cheerily. I have always been of the opinion that a Christmas tree should be in front of a window so that other people can share my holiday joy.
I am a bit tardy in publishing this edition of the Carnival of Christian Women, but I confess that I try to avoid the computer on Saturdays so I can spend time with my husband.
With no further ado, welcome to the December 1, 2007 edition of Carnival of Christian Women.
Holidays
The greatest challenge that Christians face during this Christmas season is reclaiming the holiday for Jesus.
Julie Heath - More4kids Inc. presents Teaching Kids The Meaning of Christmas posted at More4kids.
Sunny presents What is the Meaning of Advent? posted at Observation and Principles, saying, “Advent is a season of anticipation and preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ. Honoring this season is a good way to bring Christ back into the spotlight of Christmas”
As we celebrate this Holiday season, Tea Party Girl reminds us to be a good hostess in How To Be an Unanxious Hostess.
Theresa L. Twogood has also written some advice in her article, The Tea Corner, Prayer Closet, & Free Gift For The Holiday! posted at OLIN e-Book e-Publishing, encouraging you to create time and space for prayer and meditation in your home.
Finally, how can you celebrate the holidays without a few new recipes to try?
Christine has submitted two recipes for our carnival: All Natural Honey Mustard Dressing: No Sugar Added a fabulous all natural sugar-free Honey Mustard Dressing, and Hot Orange Juice and Honey for the Holidays! a great, simple, sugar-free, all natural recipe that is perfect for the holidays! These recipes are posted at Me, My Kid and Life: An American Single Mom Living in France.
