Are you a risk-taker?

Taking risks involves stepping out into the unknown. Christians surround themselves with a security blanket and refuse to take “risks.” They take risks daily when they drive their car or go through their regular life, but they refuse to go out of their way and take risks so that Christ may be glorified in all nations. It is a wasted life.

I needed to be at Camp chattooga this summer. Daily, I realize taht I am no as effective at ministering alone. I need the other half of me here to help me to minister more fully. I am half a person on my own. Half of my spirit is in Texas. I am convinced that it is better to learn this now than to make a foolish choice later in my life.

I love you Brenton Michael.

I worked so hard today.

I made a journal in Arts and Crafts.

I went swimming

I made trail mix

I kayaked

I floated in an innertube.

Tomorrow, I think I’ll go see the horses.

Maybe I’ll learn to Canoe

Perhaps, I will go hiking.

What an AWFUL job.

I love camp. God has put a passion in my heart to reach young girls. This is my calling in life. I keep asking what else needs to be done, and I feel lost quite often. After four weeks, I’m starting to get it down.

This week has been an encouragign week even though I am exhausted. The sun has been shining and the weather looks good for a while. Maybe we have gotten all the rain we are going to get for this summer.

I am 2 days from finishing The Purpose Driven Life. This is the first devotional book I have ever even come close to finishing. I don’t agree with everything in the book, but I believe in eating the meat and throwing out the fat.

Only one thing is missing from my life this summer. In 31 days, Brenton will be coming o Toccoa to spend some time with me. In 38 days I will be an old married woman.

38 days…
