Paradise
Tuesday, April 27th, 2004I was thinking today about chattooga. Ilove it when something triggers a memory from a place I love. I was just waking up from a quick naplet and everything was quiet. The sun was shining in the window–not directly, but just enough to light the room well. In an instant, I was at chattooga and it was nap time. An almost unnatrual hush falls over the camp and finally I can breathe a sigh of relief because my worries have just vanished. All I can hear is the birds singing and the wind gently rustling the leaves in the trees. From my bed beside the window, I can watch the sunlight glistening on the waves in the lake. Not a sound of civilization, just peace. It was a refreshing break from last-week-of-the-semester madness.
